The work consists of removing two existing 24-inch sleeve valves and two existing 24-inch plug valves; installing two Metropolitan furnished (MFE) 24-inch knife gate valves and two MFE 24-inch sleeve valves; removing an existing 16-inch lubricated plug valve; installing one MFE 16-inch lubricated plug valve; replacing air release and vacuum valves; constructing various electrical, instrumentation, and control systems improvements; replacing ladders and platform; reinforced concrete improvements; and other appurtenant work as specified and shown on the drawings.
