The Elkwater townsite is the main visitor hub for Cypress Hills Provincial Park. Accessible from Highway 41 south of Medicine Hat and situated along the shores of Elkwater Lake, the Elkwater Townsite features a small community mixed with cabins, campgrounds, retail services, and recreation amenities. The townsite serves as the Park’s recreational nucleus, offering access to hiking and biking trails, beaches, winter sports, and scenic viewpoints.
