The City of Indio seeks a qualified consulting team to prepare a comprehensive Parks Master Plan (hereinafter "the Plan") that will serve as the City's guiding policy and implementation document for parks, recreation facilities, open space, trails, and recreation programming through the year 2040 and beyond. The Plan shall function as both a stand-alone policy document and as an implementing program under the Parks, Recreation & Open Space and Conservation Element of the Indio General Plan 2040.
The selected consulting team shall bring demonstrated expertise in California parks master planning, Quimby Act nexus analysis, community engagement in Environmental Justice communities, GIS-based park access analysis, and capital improvement programming. Subconsultant expertise in landscape architecture, urban ecology, ADA compliance, and climate resilience is encouraged where appropriate to the proposed team structure.
