In response to Bridgewater's housing needs, the Town has committed to proactive measures to accelerate housing development. Through an agreement with the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) under the Housing Accelerator Fund (HAF), Bridgewater has committed to implementing a Housing Action Plan aimed at incentivizing 100 additional residential units, including 18 units of affordable housing, between 2025 and 2028. A key initiative within this plan is making municipally owned land available for housing development.
