Description

  1. To complete the Fire Safety System Modernization at Collins Bay Institution, by upgrading fire safety field devices for several buildings with the Desigo Fire Safety System. The affected buildings include buildings CBB1, CBB7, CBB8, CBB11, CBA1, CBA13/14, CBB1-UM, CBC2, CBC03, CBC29/145, CBC36, FF32N, FF36A, FF36B and FF46. 2. To continue the modernization of the fire safety system to ensure the system meets ever-changing Fire Code requirements, and to continue improving Fire Safety communications throughout the institution by adapting the current MXL system to the Desigo Modular Migration Solution. 3. To complete the replacement of inaccessible fixed heat detectors, including the addition of test switches as identified in the annual inspection. The Contractor must return the Underwriter Laboratories of Canada (ULC) compatible Siemens MXL addressable field detection devices it removes to the Works Department at Collins Bay Institution. 4. The Contractor must obtain the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) proprietary rights holder’s services for all work the OEM proprietary rights holder must complete, including the costs associated with required labour, equipment and materials.
