PROCUREMENT OVERVIEW:
The City of Riverside is seeking contractors for a street maintenance improvement project that encompasses various residential and arterial streets. The scope includes resurfacing deteriorated pavement, full depth reclamation with cement-treated pulverized base, reconstruction of damaged concrete sidewalks, driveways, and pedestrian ramps, installation of new bus pads, cross gutters, curbs, and gutters. Additional tasks involve adjusting valve covers and manholes, replacing traffic striping and signs, and constructing bollards in Downtown Riverside. The project aims to enhance the safety and functionality of the city's roadways.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Required Licenses: Class “A” General Engineering or Class "C-12" Earthwork and Paving State of California Contractor’s license in good standing.
• Business Tax Registration: Contractors and subcontractors must obtain a City of Riverside Business Tax Registration valid for the contract duration.
• Bonding Requirements:
  • Bid Bond: 10%
  • Payment Bond: 100%
  • Performance Bond: 100%
• All contractors must obtain necessary licenses for their operations.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:
Bidders must demonstrate expertise in street construction and maintenance, including resurfacing, concrete work, and installation of traffic control devices. Familiarity with using recycled materials such as asphalt millings is also required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
While not mandatory, bidders with prior experience in similar municipal projects or those holding additional relevant certifications may have a competitive advantage. Familiarity with the City of Riverside's regulations and operational environment could also be beneficial.
