Grounds Maintenance for PBS 2026 - 2030

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) requires the services of a qualified Contractor to provide grounds maintenance and related general labour services at the Pacific Biological Station (PBS) located in Nanaimo, British Columbia. The Contractor must provide routine and seasonal grounds maintenance services to ensure the site is maintained in a safe, functional, and professional condition throughout the year. The Pacific Biological Station (PBS) is a fisheries research and management facility located in Nanaimo, British Columbia. The site occupies more than fifteen (15) acres and contains a mixture of landscaped grounds, lawns, horticultural beds, native vegetation areas, trees, shrubs, roadways, pathways, stairways, and security fencing. The property includes areas requiring intensive maintenance as well as areas requiring minimal intervention to preserve native vegetation and environmental values. DFO requires ongoing grounds maintenance services to maintain the safety, accessibility, appearance, and operational effectiveness of the facility.
