The contractor will conduct informal walk-throughs of select sites in the Kamloops area to identify where Douglas-fir tussock moth (DFTM) populations are concentrated. Surveys will only be conducted on public forest land, not on private land. The goal of these informal walk-through surveys is to look for and identify areas where new DFTM egg masses are located. All survey tracks and observations are to be recorded using a GPS device. Where concentrations of new DFTM egg masses are found 1 or 2 sequential egg mass surveys will be done.
