Structure 401 Timber Pile Repairs – Head Harbour, Campobello Island, NB In general, the work under this contract consists of providing all, labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation and incidentals necessary to repairs to Structure 401 located at the public wharf in Head Harbour, Campobello Island, Charlotte County, NB. All work must be carried out in strict accordance with the contract drawings, specifications and any documents prepared for this project. The work includes but is not limited to, the repair of timber bearing piles supporting Structure 401. Repair of a bearing piles by installing pile reinforcement members that are pressure treated and are 150x200 dimensional timber. Pile reinforcement timbers to be installed on the faces of the piles as indicated on the drawings. Only items in the Unit Price Table will be measured for payment. All other work necessary to complete the Contract will be considered incidental to the project and will not be measured separately for payment. Before submitting a bid, bidders can visit the site and its surroundings, at their own expense and schedule, to review and verify the form, nature, and extent of the work, materials needed for the completion of the work, the means of access to the site, site remoteness, severity, exposure, and uncertainty of weather, soil conditions, any accommodations they may require, and in general shall obtain all necessary information as to risks, contingencies, and other circumstances which may influence or affect their bid. No allowance shall be made subsequently in this connection on account or error or negligence to properly observe and determine the conditions that will apply. Take all appropriate safety measures for any visit to site, either before or after acceptance of bid. The work shall be substantially completed within fifteen (15) weeks of contract award.
