REQUEST FOR PROPOSALSBACKGROUNDSYRP originally operated May 2023-March 2026 comprised of eight individual projects designed to reduce risk and strengthen resiliency for Surrey children, youth and families. SYRP was made possible by financial support provided through Public Safety Canada’s Building Safer Communities Fund (“BSCF”). Given the success of national BSCF projects, Canada invested $157.5M to extend the fund and has apportioned funding to the City to implement a new SYRP.
