Interested suppliers are required to respond to this Invitation to Qualify. Only those Respondents considered by DFATD to meet the pre-qualification requirements as defined in this document will be invited to submit competitive bid for this work during the Request for Proposal phase of the solicitation. Canada, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) requires Design-Build Services for the Redevelopment Project for the Embassy of Canada to Ethiopia, in Addis Ababa. The Project will be delivered using a Design-Build approach. The objective is to retain a qualified Design-Builder Contractor/Consortium to assume single-point responsibility for the completion of the design, construction, commissioning, and post-construction services. The Design-Build services must include, but are not limited to, • architectural and engineering services, completion of the detailed design based on the Design Development Package provided by the DFATD, preparation of all remaining design and construction documents, • Construction services: permit and approval acquisition from the local authorities, procurement of all labour, materials, equipment, and services, construction execution, commissioning, and post-construction services.
