This is the first phase (Phase One) of a two-phase process: the first phase will evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers; the second phase (Phase Two) will invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Public Services & Procurement Canada (PSPC) is delivering a project for the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to construct a new Cooling Plant for the CFIA Lethbridge Laboratory. Work for this contract comprises the removal of two existing indoor water-cooled chillers, cooling tower, condenser water pumps, and condenser water piping in the Mechanical Room, and replacement with two new outdoor air-cooled chillers installed on grade-level concrete pads, and two remote evaporators installed in the Mechanical Room. All electrical and controls work required for the new installation and all the chiller water piping modifications and installation required for the operation of the chillers and remote evaporators are included in the Work.
