Description
This Contract will procure and install a high-resolution X-ray diffractometry (HR-XRD) system for use in the Epitaxy facilities at the National Research Council Canada (NRC). This HR-XRD system will provide critical feedback for the growth of III-V semiconductor heterostructures grown epitaxially. These systems are used for research and commercial growth of III-V semiconductors (arsenides, antimonides, and phosphides). These systems grow demanding heterostructures for a wide range of optoelectronic and quantum applications, such as: quantum dot lasers, InP-based nanowire quantum dots for single-photon emission, quantum cascade and interband cascade lasers, and GaSb-based diode lasers incorporating quaternary and quinary alloys.
