The National Research Council Canada (NRC) requires construction services for the U-61 Cooling Plant Optimization project. The Contractor must perform and complete the Work within 16 weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. The anticipated start date is August 26, 2026. Solicitation of Offer Submission Eligibility. This solicitation of offers is subject to the Policy on Reciprocal Procurement. This means that only Canadian Suppliers, are eligible for this solicitation of offers. Offers submitted by Suppliers of a Non-Trading Partner will be rejected. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS The successful Bidder's personnel, as well as any subcontractor and its personnel, who are required to perform any part of the Work pursuant to the subsequent contract must meet the mandatory security. Individuals who do not have the required level of security will not be allowed on site. It is the responsibility of the successful Bidder to ensure that the security requirements are met throughout the performance of the contract. Canada will not be held liable or accountable for any delays or additional costs associated with the successful Bidder's non-compliance with the mandatory security requirement. For any enquiries concerning the project security requirement during the bidding period, the Bidder/Tenderer must contact the Security Officer @ 613-993-8956. MANDATORY SITE VISIT 1. There will be a site visit on July 29th and July 30th at 10:00am EDT. Interested bidders are to meet at 1920 Research Private Bldg U-61, Ottawa, ON K1V 2B1. 2. The site visit for this project is MANDATORY, Bidders must attend one (1) of the two (2) site visits. The representative of the Bidder must sign the Site Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will be rejected. 3. Safety Attire: In order to be guaranteed access to the site visit all persons should have the proper personal protection equipment (safety glasses, footwear, vests and hard hats etc.). Contractor’s personnel/individuals who do not have the proper safety attire may be denied access to the site. Canada retains the right to negotiate with any supplier on any procurement. Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
