Namewaminikan River Bridge Repair

RFP is for the maintenance and repair of a 39.6 m DSHR1 Mabey Compact 200 series bridge that is located off Highway 11 on forestry access road 801 at kilometer marker 14. The bridge crosses the Namewaminikan River and is located within the Nipigon Geraldton District of the Ministry of Natural Resources. Maintenance work will include tightening and replacing any missing bolts, removing gravel from the deck, regrading approaches, replacing damaged section of guide rails, end treatments, offsets and posts. Full replacement of all the end posts (Mabey made) which will require the bridge to be jacked up. The Ministry of Natural Resources requires maintenance and rehabilitation work to be completed on a DSHR1 Mabey Compact 200 series bridge (39.6 m) to address deficiencies discovered during an inspection. The work needs to be completed in the late summer/early fall of 2026, before the ground freezes.
