NRC Herzberg Astronomy and Astrophysics (HAA) requires extended measurement capabilities in the millimetre-wave frequency range to support ongoing research in characterizing front-end components for low-noise receivers in radio astronomy. Existing Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) at NRC HAA are currently limited to a maximum operational frequency of 116 GHz. To increase its measurement capability, NRC HAA intends to acquire frequency extender modules covering the 110–170 GHz band.
