Please note that late submissions will not be considered or accepted. Description of Requirement: Natural Resources Canada requires a detailed engineering design and timeline for a pilot scale multi-mode arc furnace together with power supply and control systems, a continuous feeding system, a primary off-gas treatment system and ancillary equipment. The requirement includes the option for the Contractor to fabricate the furnace and deliver it to CanmetMATERIALS' Hamilton laboratory, with additional options for the purchase of spare parts and additional technical support. The delivery and completion of the detailed engineering design must be completed by March 1 2027, the period of the contract is from contract award to March 31 2028. If the option to produce the furnace is exercised, the furnace must be delivered, commissioned, and installed by March 1 2029, and the term of the contract will be extended to March 31 2031. Canada will hold an Offeror’s conference virtually on September 23 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM EDT. Participation in this conference is optional.
