UPS Batteries - Millhaven Institution

This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, Millhaven Institution. Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Canada Korea Trade Agreement (CKTA), Canada free trade agreements with Chile/Colombia/Honduras/Panama. Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Indigenous Suppliers. Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement. Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements. Nature of Requirements: The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service of Canada requires the services of a qualified contractor for: Replacement of all Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) and Always On batteries at Millhaven Institution. The current system batteries have exceeded their life cycle, and this system is critical in maintaining the door and /barrier control as well as the emergency lighting during a power failure. Objectives: This work will ensure the Always On UPS system will return to normal operation. The contractor must ensure all systems are working and up to CSA/TSSA standards. Deliverables: The contractor must perform the following: • Supply and Install of Seventy-Five (75): SLA12-75 or equivalent batteries; • Supply and Install of One Hundred and Forty (140): S12V285 or equivalent batteries; • Replace batteries in the following areas: A Unit, T Building, E Unit, J Unit, S Building (Hospital), U building and Y Unit (RTC); • Ensure all systems are returned to normal operating condition; • Ensure all removed batteries are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner, according to all required regulations; The contractor must follow all CSA/TSSA standards. Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none. Estimated quantity of commodity: see solicitation document statement of work and basis of payment.
