Description

Parks Services requires a short list for manual fuel mitigation services in natural areas. This could be a 3-year list with 2 optional 1-year extensions, or a 5 year list. Contractors would need to demonstrate previous successful experience implementing fuel management prescriptions in urban natural areas, ideally in dry Okanagan forest ecosystems. Proponents are required to deliver a broad scope of services within the realm of fuel mitigation. This includes manual tree falling with WorkSafeBC certified fallers, manual pruning and thinning, and debris disposal.
