Assessment of Canada’s EV Charging Infrastructure and Grid Requirements
AI Summary
PROCUREMENT OVERVIEW
The Department of Natural Resources (NRCan) of Canada is seeking proposals for an updated national assessment of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and grid requirements. The project aims to evaluate the current and future needs for EV charging infrastructure in light of recent policy shifts from Electric Vehicle Availability Standards (EVAS) to Greenhouse Gas (GHG) standards. It will analyze market trends, technology advancements, and behavioral changes related to zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs), covering both light-duty vehicles (LDVs) and medium- to heavy-duty vehicles (MHDVs). The assessment will also address grid readiness and investment needs, considering regional variations and extreme temperature impacts.
