PROCUREMENT OVERVIEW:
The City of Indian Wells is seeking proposals from qualified glass fabrication firms to fabricate and install custom glass tabletops for two existing conference room tables at Indian Wells City Hall. The project involves creating glass tops that fit the curved profiles of the tables, which necessitates field verification of dimensions. The selected contractor will be responsible for all aspects of the project, including labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and installation services.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:

• Required License: C-17 Glassier license
• Mandatory site visit to take measurements; the City will not provide dimensions or accept responsibility for measurement accuracy.
• Proposers must provide field measurements as the basis for fabrication.
• Proposals must include a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:

• Expertise in glass fabrication, specifically for custom tabletops.
• Ability to create 1/4-inch thick clear glass tops in four sections for each table.
• Must provide polished 1/2-inch beveled edges on all exposed edges.
• Proficiency in ensuring proper fit and alignment of glass sections during installation.

DELIVERABLES AND PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

• Field measurements of the conference tables.
• Fabricated glass tabletops delivered and installed.
• Clean-up of the work area and removal of debris.
• Replacement of any damaged glass during fabrication, delivery, or installation at no extra cost.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in fabricating custom glass products for commercial settings.
• Previous work with municipal or government contracts may be viewed favorably.
