Description

The MDR Department is operating beyond capacity. With only two washer‑disinfectors, it cannot meet current processing demands. Sterile storage space is inadequate, resulting in overcrowding and overflow, as identified in Accreditation Canada findings. The department contains extensive wood and laminate cabinetry on the clean and sterile sides, which does not meet CSA standards requiring non‑porous, cleanable surfaces. Accreditation Canada has identified this as a deficiency requiring remediation.
